Summertour Sweden – Day 6-8, GULDagility
Tag 6-8 / Day 6-8, GULDagility
WOW! Still impressed about that Agility show. This show belongs to my top five favorite Agility shows I’ve ever been. It has everything what’s necessary and more. It all starts with a lovely venue directly located in the heard of Kalmar next to a lake. Four courses located in the arena and five next to it. Next to those ‘outdoor’ courses there’s a place with trees spending shadow for the tent-village. The organization left a professional impression, before and during the competition to me as a competitor. And then there are those neat extras. Like for example the multiview camera system broadcasted live to a big screen in the arena and all over the world via livestream.
10’000 starters were counted over the last 4 days at GULDagility according to the local newspaper ‘Barometern’. To reach the finals you have to get on the podium in one of the 6 qualification runs. The final itself is split into a quarter (18 teams), semi (6 teams) and the final (2 teams) for each category. And it was so attractive to watch. Congrats to all the three winners. Especially, congrats to Letizia Grunder and Nomade (SUI) who won the medium-final! Well done!
The downside of the competition… I could not fulfill my expectations regarding my performance. But beside that, Cute showed really nice runs. Most of the time it failed on my stupidness in handling and some struggles with the unknown Swedish rules 🙂
The courses were built on a high level. Thx to the judges and to THE judge for they’re courses. Most of them were a real pleasure to run.
I’d like to thanks Fanny and Sanna for all the effort they put into the organization of that amazing competition. And thx to all the people who made my stay on and apart the competition so cool. I loved you’re company a lot. And I hope of a remake next year…
Now my dogs and I are tired. Time to sit back, relaxe and enjoy Sweden. Before the tough work goes on at the highly anticipated summer camp at the Lotushallen.
